A washed Wush Wush from the heart of Cauca.

Grown in the highlands of Cauca, Colombia, this washed Wush Wush offers a clean, structured cup with vibrant citrus acidity, silky mouthfeel, and floral sweetness.

With notes of white flowers, citrus, black tea, and soft spice, this rare variety reflects both the richness of its origin and the precision of its post-harvest process.

Originally from Ethiopia, Wush Wush is one of the rarest and most prized varieties in the world of specialty coffee, celebrated for its floral complexity, subtle sweetness, and silky texture. In the high-altitude mountains of Cauca, Colombia, this variety thrives in volcanic soils and cool Andean breezes, allowing for a unique and refined expression.

This lot is washed processed, meaning the fruit’s pulp is carefully removed after harvest, followed by controlled fermentation in tanks and a gentle washing to eliminate residual mucilage before drying. This method enhances the coffee’s clean cup structure and aromatic clarity, allowing the variety’s intrinsic elegance to shine.

This washed Wush Wush from Cauca is not only a refined expression of a rare variety, but also the result of meticulous post-harvest practices and a strong commitment to quality at origin.

The farm El Porvenir

"El Porvenir is a family-owned farm located in Vereda El Ramal, Corregimiento de Uribe, in the municipality of El Tambo, about two hours from the main town, at an altitude of approximately 2,150 meters above sea level, on the road to Munchique National Park (Santa Ana sector). The road to the farm is unpaved but offers stunning landscapes surrounded by native forest — visitors are advised to travel with a local guide and the proper authorization. The farm’s name, El Porvenir (“The Future”), was chosen by my father, who also passed it down to me as an inheritance. It carries a beautiful story: years ago, this land was used for illicit crops, but we decided to transform it into a place of renewal through coffee. Once you arrive, you truly never want to leave. We strive to follow the best agricultural practices — using manual tools like brush cutters and minimizing herbicide use — to preserve soil fertility and the natural balance of our environment."

A few words about Pedro Fabian

"About 6 or 7 years ago, my family and I depended on illicit crops. That was what existed in our territory, but deep inside we knew we needed a profound change, one that would bring us peace and a better future. We decided to replace those crops with coffee, and since then, our lives have taken a turn filled with tranquility, hope, and dreams to fulfill.

I am one of the newest coffee growers in El Tambo, because in my village coffee was not cultivated before. I have been working with coffee for 12 years, and thanks to the training and technical support from the Colombian Coffee Growers Federation, we managed to start this project that today makes us proud.

For me, coffee is not only a source of income. It is a path of dignity, continuous learning, and commitment to quality. Every day, I wake up motivated to produce specialty coffee, coffee that represents the effort and transformation of my family and community.

Today, I can say that coffee has given me more than just a livelihood: it has given me the certainty that with dedication and love for what we do, it is always possible to write a different story".
